Jasmin explains how many cities around the world have fixed their cities after a period of serious urban and population loss to make the transition to a more vital postindustrial city.
They all had this in common: they came to recognize the strategic importance of their cultural and creative sectors as key drivers. Jasmin has a vision of how these drivers could apply to St. Louis City. Part of her inspiration comes from research; part of it from companies like Google and Apple where they have demonstrated how mixing different disciplines—engineering, visual design, technology, sociologists—creates innovation.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
